NBCUniversal is preparing to hike the price of Peacock for the third time in as many years in a change set to take effect just days from now, according to Variety.

Beginning July 23 for new or returning customers, the ad-supported Peacock Premium and Premium Plus, which includes limited ads during live programming, will both be increasing by $3 to $10.99 and $16.99 a month, respectively. For current customers, this change will go into effect on or around Aug. 22, depending on their billing cycle.

The new price scale makes Peacock more expensive than both the ad-supported and ad-free plans offered by Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max and Paramount+, according to the publication, but NBCUniversal is testing a new tier to offset the price increases for those looking for a more affordable option: Peacock Select.

Peacock Select, priced at $7.99 per month, will offer access to "select" content, reportedly including current seasons of NBC and Bravo shows and an assortment of library titles, but no access to Peacock originals, NBC Sports programming, or movies.

So far, fans seem unimpressed with the streamer's latest move.

"This is madness," one fan exclaimed on X. "Please someone make it stop."

"Good luck with that I guess," another hedged, implying that the content available on the app wasn't even "worth the old price."
