Elton John shared the evening with an elite crowd of stars and statesmen for the French state banquet hosted by King Charles III.
Windsor Castle’s St George’s Hall was filled with notable people from the Royal Family, including Queen Camilla, Prince William and Princess Kate, Princess Anne and the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh. Fellow music legend Sir Mick Jagger was also among the 150 distinguished guests.
The celebration honored French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife, Brigitte Macron, who were in the United Kingdom for a three-day visit, the first visit by a French president since 2008.
With all the grand ceremonial display and royal tradition, the British singer and songwriter had a Gen Z way of marking the special occasion.
The 78-year-old music icon took to Instagram to share a heartfelt moment from the state banquet.
In a rare and elegant photo, Elton John, looking dapper in a sleek suit and tinted shades, posed alongside his husband, David Furnish, who was also in a sharp tailored suit, mirroring the classic style of the “Rocket Man” hitmaker.

Through a heartfelt caption, he expressed how “honored” they were to attend such a memorable state affair.
The post quickly captured the admiration of fans around the world who were charmed by the couple’s love and timeless style.

Fans continued as they couldn’t get enough of the couple’s undeniable chemistry.

Elton John has been with his partner for over three decades, since first meeting in 1973.
In 2005, they entered a civil partnership and became one of the first same-sex couples in the country.
Nine years later, the pair, who share two sons, Zachary and Elijah, decided to officially tie the knot in a small ceremony at their Windsor home in Berkshire.
