Jensen Ackles, best known for his roles in Supernatural and The Boys, is opening up about his marriage to his wife, actress Danneel Ackles.
During a July 4 interview with People magazine, Jensen shared that he, his wife, and their three children, Justice, 12, Zeppelin, 8, and Arrow, 8, currently reside in Connecticut after living in Texas. According to the publication, the Ackles made the move in 2023 so Jensen could have less of a commute to the Boys set in Toronto.
Jensen told People magazine that he has "a really, really quiet, peaceful life" when he's with his wife and their children. He explained his family life is a grounding force, which he needs as an actor. In addition, the actor described Danneel, who he married in 2010, as "the single tallest tentpole in [his] life."
"When I go home, I'm home. I'm not Jensen the actor. I'm Jensen the husband, the dad, the friend, the brother, the son. I think having that stability in my personal life has really given me a good grounding, a good foundation for what I do," said Jensen during the interview.
Jensen celebrated his wife's 46th birthday in a May 2025 Instagram upload. The post showed Danneel on a ski lift with her children.
"Happy Birthday to my girl. My incredible partner in life and the one who keeps the show running. Another year of laughter, love, adventure and mystery. You are a force of nature. I❤️U," wrote Jensen in the caption.
Several fans flocked to the post's comments section to share they appreciated Jensen's post.
"The way he opens it with 'happy birthday to my girl' is the best thing a woman can get," wrote a commenter.
"The way you and Jared boost your wives and family makes my hurt squeeze. It's so amazing. Y'all seem like such great people!" added another, in reference to Jensen's Supernatural co-star, Jared Padalecki.
