Jodie Sweetin is opening up about the impact her Full House castmates had on her life even after cameras stopped rolling.

The former child star credits her TV show dad, Bob Saget, as well as co-star Dave Coulier, for giving her the push she needed.

In a recent interview with People, Sweetin spoke fondly of Saget, who played the lovable Danny Tanner, and Coulier, who played his childhood best friend, Joey Gladstone, on Full House and reprised their roles in the Netflix revival, Fuller House.

"I have found a confidence, and honestly, it came from Bob and Dave," Sweetin explained. "It came from Bob and Dave all my life, encouraging me that I was funny, even when I was a kid."

She so funny that Sweetin didn't have to audition to play Stephanie on Full House, she revealed in her memoir UnSweetined, which was published in 2009.

"Stand-up comedians, I've grown up around them, and there's nothing that makes me happier than sitting around with a bunch of comedians talking s--t," Sweetin confessed.

Sweetin shared that Saget and Coulier's support, as well as just getting older, is how she "found a new level of confidence."

She continued, "I think also, being 43, I just don't give a s--t anymore, so I'm so much more comfortable in my own skin that there's nothing that I am afraid to talk about or put up there or make fun of or poke fun at."

This isn't the first time Sweetin has credited Saget and Coulier, either. Just last year, while hosting an episode of the Full House Rewind podcast with Coulier, she spoke openly about how she started doing stand-up just after her TV dad passed away in 2001.

She told Coulier, "You and Bob really gave me permission to have unfettered comedy."
