Kirk Cousins knows exactly what he wants when it comes to the perfect haircut.
In the second season of Netflix's hit series Quarterback, the 36-year-old Atlanta Falcons athlete gives fans a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to be a sports star on the field and a great customer at Great Clips.
A joint Instagram post shared by the NFL, NFL Films and Netflix Sports shows Cousins causally dressed, reading a copy of PEOPLE magazine as he waits for his turn in the chair at the salon chain.

“Let’s go!” he enthusiastically says as hairdresser Catherine introduces herself and guides him to the chair where he’ll receive his cut.
“I go to one place, and that’s Great Clips ‘cause I can just go on the app,” Cousins says during a confessional.
They walk past another person who is getting their hair cut as Catherine asks him how he’s doing before the Falcons quarterback continues to explain why he’s a loyal customer.
“I can see what the wait is," Cousins says of the chain's app. "If the wait time is under 15 minutes, I just sign up and then I can just drive there, and walk right in and get right in the chair.”
The NFL pro came prepared.
“This is what I’m looking for,” he says, showing a photo of himself. “It’s like a one, and then you fade it up.”
During his confessional, Cousins explains, “Now I start just holding up a picture from a Falcons game program, and I just say, ‘Can you do this?’ And that usually helps eliminate any gray area.”

The star athlete, who shares two young sons with his wife Julie Cousins, can’t stop raving about where he gets his perfect hair.
“Everybody needs a little rush in their lives, and I get mine when I go to Great Clips to get my haircut,” Cousins says from the salon chair as the social media video ends.
Fans in the comment section found his choice of salon relatable.
“Damn Kirk just like me with the great clips cut even though this dude is a multi millionaire,” one person wrote, adding a laughing emoji.
“I love when rich people just do the simple things," another fan wrote.

His love for Great Clips has paid off in more ways than one. After the segment was released, the salon chain gifted its first-ever VIP card to Cousins to honor "his regularly requested haircut," the company said in a statement.
It will “unlock free haircuts for the cardholder every time they visit a Great Clips salon as well as for all customers present in the salon at the same time," the company said.
Cousins is known to be pretty particular about hair.
During a May 22 interview with E! News, the Atlanta Falcons quarterback jokingly reacted to a shirtless Travis Kelce after the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, 35, went viral for his back hair while leaving a workout on May 20.

"God bless Taylor Swift for being good with that," Cousins quipped, before adding, "That's awesome. Good for her."
He added that Kelce's hairy back is likely "just genetics" and said "thankfully" doesn't "have to deal with that."
