Meghan Markle has reportedly refunded some customers of her As ever brand following a hiccup during her latest product launch.
On July 2, reports emerged that the team behind Meghan's As ever brand contacted shoppers whose orders for its apricot spread were unable to be fulfilled.
The apricot spread was one of the new additions Meghan introduced in As Ever's June 20 product drop. The launch marked the brand's first restock since its official debut on April 2 — and like the inaugural release, it sold out the same day.
According to Hello! magazine, customers whose orders for the apricot spread fell through were informed of the news via email and promised a refund, as well as a free apricot spread once the product is back in stock.
PEOPLE has reached out to a spokesperson for the Duchess of Sussex and As ever for comment.

"Due to high demand, we are unable to fulfill your order of the apricot spread at this time. We are refunding the purchase of this item by the end of this week," the the message said. "In addition to the refund, we want you to know that when the apricot spread is back in stock, you will be the first to receive it, free of charge."
As ever's apricot spread was sold for $9 per jar or $14 for the jar in keepsake packaging. A product description said that the spread "balances a delicate sweetness and a gentle brightness that lets this beautiful stone fruit shine. Spoon it over yogurt, swipe it onto toast, or nestle it into a cake."

The fulfillment issue isn't the first As ever has navigated so far. In April, Meghan's company navigated the same situation when the brand's Limited-Edition Wildflower Honey with Honeycomb ($28) sold out in less than five minutes after it became available for sale.
Some shoppers who bought the product learned that the stock was gone when their purchase was confirmed, creating understandable frustration. To remediate the situation, the As ever team contacted those affected to say they would be refunded and could choose another item to receive for free.
"The excitement created a volume of traffic on the site that even we couldn't have anticipated…the orders were happening so quickly that the backend of the site didn't have a chance to keep up," the customer care team said in part in a screenshot shared to social media. "We are working on replenishing inventory and will gladly send you an item of your choosing to thank you for your understanding."
The offer wasn't all, as the Duchess of Sussex apologized for the problem and pledged to send a gift.

"Dear friend, My goodness, what a whirlwind this week has been! Thank you so much for the support. It really means so much to me," began a note from Meghan in the same email.
"I was so sorry to hear about what happened with your order, and that due to overselling we are not able to get you the Limited-Edition Honey. Please know the team worked very hard in every department and felt just as sad when we learned what had happened," she said.

"I know it's not the same limited-edition item you had your heart set on (I would feel the same!) so I would also like to promise you something else: When our next limited-edition drop happens, you won't just be the first to know...you'll be the first to receive it. No need to order, it will come to you in the mail as a gift from me," she wrote.
As ever's June 20 product restock included the announcement that the brand would also start selling a rosé wine. The 2023 Napa Valley rosé went live to shop on July 1, which coincided with what would have been Princess Diana's 64th birthday, and sold out in a under an hour.
The blush wine retailed for $30 a bottle and was sold staring in sets of three ($90), and marked the Duchess of Sussex's first splash into selling alcoholic beverages.
Though Meghan has yet to comment on her latest product selling out on its debut day, a release teased that there's more to come.
A July 1 statement from As ever said the brand has a "Méthode Champenoise Napa Valley sparkling wine planned for the near future and additional varietals to follow."
