There’s nothing holding Shawn Mendes back from showing off his newest chest tattoo.
The “Heart of Gold” singer stepped outside shirtless to grab his home-delivered Erewhon groceries the morning of July 7, showing a glimpse of all his ink on his torso and arms. Mendes opened the door with fresh bedhead and his latest tattoo on full display — a soaring eagle on his upper stomach.
The tattoo artist responsible for Mendes’ ink is Kane Navasard, who posted the artwork on his Instagram on April 13.
“Soaring to new heights, for my bro @shawnmendes,” Navasard wrote.

This isn't the first tattoo Navasard has done for Mendes. The musician took Camila Cabello, who he was dating at the time, on a night out to get tattoos in November 2019.
Mendes added a small “A” behind his right ear to his collection of tattoos as a tribute to his then 16-year-old sister, Aaliyah Mendes.
That same year, Mendes took a fan's tattoo recommendation after they tweeted two photos of him sporting the intricate butterfly drawing tattooed on his arm. Mendes seemed inspired, responding to the fan, “Wait this is awesome, can u DM the drawing ??”
Mendes then took the drawing to Toronto-based tattoo artist Livia Tsang to get the image inked on his bicep. The tattoo looked nearly identical to the image Mendes’ fan originally shared on Twitter (now X).
The butterfly on his left bicep has its normal wings, while the other wing is covered in blooming flowers.
Back in May, the “Stitches” singer announced his On the Road Again Tour to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of his debut album Handwritten. The tour will begin in early August and includes stops in Europe and North America.
"I feel like time away has allowed me to come back and recognize and remember how unbelievably special it is to get to play live shows," said Mendes in a statement about the tour. "It’s an honor and I'm just beyond grateful that you guys keep showing up after 10 years with so much love."
Mendez announced he will be joined by “some real life angels” on the tour that include MARO and Lubiana in Europe and Eddie Benjamin during the North America part of the tour.

“I came across @maro.musica music a few years ago and she immediately became one of my favourite artists,” Mendes wrote in an Instagram post. “tbh i’m pretty beside myself that she’ll be joining us. same with @lubiana_k, she blows me away and just embodies everything as an artist i stand behind. & finally this unbelievably talented and humble human being & my brother @eddiebenjamin will be joining in north america.”
He continued, “i’m completely in love with all 3 of these humans. so happy and grateful to have them.”
