A woman kicked her own sister out of her baby shower after she made fun of the name she chose for her child
In a post on Reddit, the woman writes that she and her husband recently settled on a name for their baby girl — and she announced it at her shower
But when her sister continually made fun of the name, she kicked her out
A woman says she kicked her own sister out of her baby shower after she made fun of the name she chose for her child.
In a post shared to Reddit, the anonymous 32-year-old writes that she is currently seven months pregnant and recently learned she's having a girl.
"Me and my husband have been thinking of names [and] until we decided on a name we like, we decided to name her 'Audrey,' " she writes.
But at her recent baby shower, there was one person who was not a fan of the name — her own sister.
"When I told everyone at the baby shower, one of my sisters told me it was an 'outdated name' and that she'd get bullied for having a name like that (which is funny because she wanted to name her daughter 'Ashhliegh' pronounced as 'Ashley' before her husband stopped her)," she adds.

She continues: "After a while of her making comments about the name we eventually just kicked her out of the shower and I blocked her on all social media's when she kept messaging me telling me to change the name."
Now, other Reddit users are weighing in on the situation, with many saying they would have made the same decision.
"The way I would have dragged my sister for having any kind of opinion she would have kicked her own self out of the party," wrote one commenter.
Added another: "I imagine your sister is still pissed about being told 'Ashhliegh' was stupid and was prepared to criticize any baby name you suggested."
