The Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders just unveiled the rookie roster for the 2025 squad — and among them is fan-favorite and "comeback girl" Jenna Waller.
To celebrate the news, former rookie Charly Barby took to social media to welcome her friend to the team. "You look happier… Thanks my comeback girl made the team," Barby wrote over a TikTok video of her standing in an empty studio before Waller walks on screen to hug her.
"MY JENNA," Barby captioned the clip, which was posted on Wednesday, July 16 — shortly after the squad was announced. "LAST CUTS -> COMEBACK GIRLS!!!! Forever so proud of you."
Waller first appeared on season 2 of America's Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders alongside Barby — who became known as one of the comeback girls after not making it through season 1 — as the two hoped to make the 2024 lineup. Although they both made it past tryouts and went through the rigors of training camp, Waller was let go while Barby secured a spot.
Just before the rookie roster was revealed just over halfway through the second season, Waller was the last to be cut by DCC Director Kelli Finglass in a heartbreaking moment on the Netflix docuseries.
"I think you peaked at the right time for a strong impression for the next time. But you peaked maybe a little too late for the decision at hand for this season," Finglass told Waller, who tearfully responded by saying, "Thank you so much. This experience has truly transformed me as a person and a dancer."

However, the Oklahoma University graduate and former OU Pom squad member came back for another go around — and made it through to the finish. "Still in absolute shock," Waller wrote on her Instagram Stories over a series of celebratory photos on Wednesday.
In addition to Waller, the other rookie members of 2025 include Brenley Herrera, Madeline "Maddy" Unger, Morgan Perschy, Parker Kilpatrick and Faith Ward.
The Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders welcomed the new girls by posting a series of celebratory photos to Instagram with the caption, "It’s official 💘 1,2,3 DCC!!!"
