Joey King debuted a new copper red hair color for her upcoming role in Practical Magic 2, and it may be the actress’s best look yet.
“There’s a little witch in all of us,” Joey, 25, captioned the Friday, July 11, Instagram post.
The Act star looked sultry as she gazed away from the camera, as her fresh hair made her eyes pop. Joey pulled her locks back in a soft half-up, half-down look as the front strands perfectly framed her face.

“THIS HAIR ON YOU obsessed!” Joey’s sister Hunter King wrote in the comments section of the post.
“Oh okay this is eating,” a fan wrote.
Hours prior, it was confirmed that Joey was cast as the daughter of Sandra Bullock’s character, Sally Owens, and the niece of Gillian Owens, portrayed by Nicole Kidman.
“Twenty-five years ago, Sally, Gillian, Aunt Jet and Aunt Franny flew off the pages of Alice Hoffman’s beloved novel and into theaters around the world, and we are thrilled to bring the Owens family back to the big screen with Joey, Lee, Maisie, Solly and Xolo joining the next chapter in our story,” the film’s team said in a statement, per Deadline. “The enduring affection for these characters has been our inspiration to deliver the next installment in the Owens’ story to new fans, and those who’ve been with us since the beginning.”
The theatrical release date of Practical Magic 2 is September 18, 2026.
Joey’s new hair color is nothing new to the actress, as she shaved her head for her role as Gypsy Rose Blanchard in The Act and a pixie cut in The Kissing Booth 3.
“I think every woman should [shave their head] at least once in their life,” she told Allure in July 2022. “I’ve never felt more free or more in tune with my beauty. I couldn’t hide behind my hair.”
