MLB is hosting the 2025 All-Star Game in Atlanta, and you know the names that put the city on the map are going to be in attendance for the festivities. Knowing that, it should come as no surprise that Ludacris will play a big role in the event.
Ludacris will headline the list of pregame performers at the 2025 MLB All-Star Game, the league announced Tuesday. He'll be joined by Jermaine Dupri, the Zac Brown Band, Kane Brown and Lauren Spencer Smith.
Dupri and Ludacris will take on the biggest role of all performers. The pair will "introduce the 2025 All-Stars in a unique hometown tribute to honor the city’s influence on global music with a medley" that will feature some of Atlanta's biggest music stars, per MLB. The Clark Atlanta Mighty Marching Panthers and Essence Dance Line will make an appearance during that segment of the pregame show. Kane Brown will pay tribute to Ray Charles with a performance of "Georgia on My Mind."
The Zac Brown Band were chosen to perform the U.S. National Anthem. Spencer Smith will perform the Canadian National Anthem at the event.
Ludacris wasn't born in Atlanta, but that's where his music career got his start. He exploded onto the music scene in 2000 after releasing "Back for the First Time," which hit No. 4 on the Billboard chart. Four out of his next five albums all reached No. 1 on the Billboard chart.
Around that same time, Ludacris also got into acting. While he's appeared in a number of movies over the years, he's most famous for his recurring role as Tej Parker in the "Fast and Furious" film franchise. He's appeared as Parker in six of the "Fast and Furious" films.
The 2025 MLB All-Star Game will be held in Atlanta, Georgia on Tuesday, July 15. The game is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. ET, with coverage available starting at 7 p.m. ET on Fox.
