The singer, who is currently pregnant with her third baby with partner A$AP Rocky, 36, spoke with Extra on the red carpet at the Los Angeles premiere of her new film Smurfs and was asked if her sons RZA, 3, and Riot, 23 months, are excited to become older siblings.
"They’re delighted,” Rihanna replied.
Although she didn't reveal the sex of her baby on the way, the "Disturbia" singer did say she has always wanted a girl.
“I’ve always wanted a girl,” the singer said. “But God knows best, right? And I love my boys.”

Last week, Rihanna spoke with Entertainment Tonight and revealed that she and Rocky already have the first letter of their little one's name picked out.
“It’s always going to be an R name. That’s the one thing me and Rocky don’t fight over,” the soon-to-be mom of three said.
That same week, a source told PEOPLE that Rihanna and Rocky are "thrilled" as they're getting ready to welcome their newest little one.
"Rihanna and Rocky couldn’t be more thrilled to be growing their family again with baby number three," the insider told PEOPLE exclusively of the pair. "They’ve really embraced this chapter and their bond has only deepened since becoming parents."

Rocky "has been incredibly attentive and nurturing throughout this pregnancy," said the source.
"He’s so hands-on with RZA and Riot, changing diapers, doing bedtime routines, and keeping them entertained so Rihanna can rest," they continued. "He’s completely tuned into her needs."
Rihanna first revealed her pregnancy on the 2025 Met Gala red carpet. Speaking with Access Hollywood, the singer shared she was excited and relieved to no longer try to conceal her baby bump.
"I feel a lot better that I don't have to suck my stomach in anymore," she shared.
